2026 is moving fast, and so are we! After the massive success of our previous updates, we are back with Fluent Forms 6.2.0. This release is all about under-the-hood power, reinforcing your form’s security, and ensuring your payment integrations are more reliable than ever.

Before we dive into the updates, we want to share some incredible news and say thank you for your support over the years. We’ve officially hit a massive milestone, crossing 700,000 active installations on wordpress.org! This is a monumental achievement for us, as Fluent Forms is now powering 700k businesses worldwide.
A Quick Trip Down Memory Lane: What Happened in v6.1.15
Before we dive into the new stuff, let’s recap our previous update v6.1.15 quickly:
- Global Default Styles: We introduced the ability to save and apply a “Default Style Template,” allowing you to maintain brand consistency across all forms with a single click.
- Dynamic Autocomplete (Pro): This added a powerful search experience for large datasets, letting users find options instantly in Dynamic Fields.
- Mobile Keyboard Optimization: We added the ability to choose specific keyboard types (like numeric) for Number and Mask fields to reduce friction for mobile users.
- Prefix & Suffix Support: You gained the ability to add icons, SVGs, or text hints (like “https://”) to Textarea, URL, and Password fields.

1. Internal Framework Upgrade & PHP 8.4 Support (Free)
Performance is in our DNA. In this version, we’ve upgraded our internal framework to make Fluent Forms faster and more efficient than ever. Plus, we are officially ready for the future with full PHP 8.4 support, ensuring your forms stay compatible with the latest server environments.

2. Major Square Payment Overhaul (Pro)
For our Pro users, we’ve completely migrated our Square integration from the deprecated CreateCheckout API to the modern Payment Links API. This doesn’t just keep you compliant; it makes the checkout process smoother. We also added Order ID validation to prevent tampering during payment callbacks, ensuring every transaction is authentic and secure.
3. Enhanced Security for Stripe and Data Exports (Free)
Security is a top priority. We’ve beefed up the Stripe payment confirmation process and improved the security protocols for Data Exports. Your user data and financial transactions are now protected by even tighter validation layers.
We also did an extensive plugin security audit, fixing all known issues.
4. Better Conversational Forms (Free)
Love our Conversational Forms? Developers now have even more control with a new filter hook for extra inputs, allowing for deeper customization of the conversational experience. We also fixed a pesky bug where textarea line breaks weren’t displaying correctly in the entries now, what your users type is exactly what you see.
5. Smarter Reports and “Save & Resume” Fixes
- Database Performance: We’ve optimized database queries for reports, so you can analyze your data without the lag.
- Save & Resume (Pro): Fixed an issue where drafts wouldn’t clear properly after a final submission via a Save & Resume link.
- Authorize.Net (Pro): Addressed a bug to ensure full billing addresses are now sent correctly with every payment.
