About FluentPlayer

  • FluentPlayer is a WordPress video player plugin from WPManageNinja, the team behind Fluent Forms. It places interactive layers inside a video at timestamps you set.
  • The free version supports self-hosted video, YouTube, Vimeo, and audio, and includes a built-in Fluent Forms layer for in-video forms alongside an email capture layer.
  • When a viewer reaches the layer start time, your selected Fluent Forms form appears over the video. On submit, the entry saves to Fluent Forms like any other submission.
  • Every submission stays in your own WordPress database. If the form connects to FluentCRM, the contact syncs in real time with no third-party bridge.
  • You can download FluentPlayer for free from WordPress.org or upgrade to FluentPlayer Pro.

How to Integrate With Fluent Forms

Fluent Forms is natively connected to FluentPlayer as an interactive layer.

Steps for Integrating FluentPlayer with Fluent Forms:

  • Open the FluentPlayer media editor and go to the Interactive Layers tab.
  • Click Add Layer, then choose Fluent Forms from the layer types.
  • Set the Start Time for the moment the form appears in the video.
  • Select the form you want to show from the form dropdown.
  • Set a title for the layer.
  • Set up the layout for how the form displays over the video.
  • Enable or disable Skip to control whether viewers dismiss the form.
  • Set the appearance, including background color and text color.
  • Add conditional visibility rules if you want to target specific viewers.

  • Lead Capture: Show a Fluent Forms form at a set moment so viewers submit their details without leaving the video. Entries save to your own Fluent Forms database with no separate landing page to build.
  • In-Video Payments: Use a form with Fluent Forms payment fields to sell a course seat or webinar spot during playback. The viewer pays in place without opening a checkout page.
  • Registration and Feedback: Trigger a registration or feedback form at the point attention is highest, then collect responses in the context of what the viewer watched.
  • CRM Handoff: Connect the form to FluentCRM so each submission tags the contact and starts an automation the moment someone submits.
  • Cross-Device Response: Forms render inside the player on desktop and mobile, so viewers respond on any device.
