AuthLab Connect 2025: Strategy, Culture, and the Team Powering WPManageNinja

Inside our annual retreat at Dusai Resort, where we celebrated a monumental 2025 and mapped out the roadmap for 2026.
There is an old saying in the tech world: You can’t build great software with burnt-out teams.
At WPManageNinja (and our parent company, AuthLab), we take that seriously. We believe that the energy we put into our culture directly translates the global impacts we are bringing to 1.3 million+ websites with multiple products supported by dedicated teams into the quality of the code we ship, the marketing we do and the support we provide.
Last week, the entire team stepped away from screens, paused Discord notifications, and headed to the serene Dusai Resort & Spa for AuthLab Connect 2025.
Authlab Connect Days are a crucial moment to align on our shared mission, celebrate the incredible growth you helped us achieve in 2025, and solidify our ambitious vision for 2026.
Here is an inside look at how we spent 72 hours connecting, competing, and preparing for the future.
Vision 2026: charting our future
The journey began on January 16th with high energy as bussed out to Dusai. Upon arrival, every team member signed the “AuthLab Doodle,” a symbolic gesture of us all being on the same page, ready to leave our mark on the year ahead.
While we love our hoodies and t-shirts, that afternoon we swapped comfort for sharp formal wear for the main “Connect” sessions.

Our leadership laid out the strategic vision not just for the next 12 months, but looking beyond 2026. For the brand WPManageNinja, this session was vital. We discussed deeper integrations between smarter features to solve small business problems, and scalable architecture to ensure our plugins remain the most robust solution in WordPress.
AI was a huge topic in our discussions. It’s moving so fast, which means we need to step up our game, too. Because of AI’s speed, users expect quick results; even people who barely code can whip up solutions now. That drastically cuts down the time it takes to roll out new features. A big chunk of our 2026 vision focused on figuring out how we’ll tweak our development process and feature shipping schedules to handle all these massive shifts.

The Fluent ecosystem revamp
The Fluent Ecosystem is going to be a huge deal this year; it’s front and center for all our development and strategy. We know you rely heavily on our connected products working together flawlessly. You’re already seeing the magic when you use Fluent Forms to grab leads and data, and then everything flows right into FluentCRM for all your marketing automation and customer management.
This year, we’re working to make the integration frictionless across all our products. That includes our tools like FluentCommunity for building engagement and membership sites, FluentCart for eCommerce solution, Fluent Support for keeping customer service slick, WP Social Ninja for powerful social proof and social media tie-ins, FluentBoards for keeping tasks and projects organized, and FluentBooking for super-easy scheduling and appointments.
Our main goal is to make connecting and using these apps together not just possible, but genuinely interconnected. We’re investing in long-term scalability, optimizing how data zips around, and creating a lower learning curve to cut out any frustration. That means measurable performance gains across the board, more intuitive setup guides for cross-product features, and a user experience where hopping from one Fluent product to another feels natural and effortless. In short, this big investment in the Fluent Ecosystem will give you the power to build way more complex, reliable, and automated workflows with incredible ease.
2026 is going to be a monumental year for us!
Recognizing outstanding contributors and celebrating shared success
The AuthLab Connect 2025 event is not only about this year’s roadmap! Besides the sessions, we really focused on recognising the team members and teams who totally crushed it last year. This recognition part of the night is a core part of how we operate; it motivates everyone to aim for even bigger goals every year.

Speaking of crushing it, the FluentCart crew was recognized for exceptional execution with the multiple awards they picked up, like the “Outstanding Product Team Award”, the “Outstanding Dev Team Award”, and the “Outstanding Product Launch Award”. That was after the massive success of their biggest product launch last year!

And huge congrats to the Fluent Forms marketing team for winning the “Outstanding Marketing Team Award 2025”! It feels amazing to see all our hard work recognized on such a big stage. Seriously, all the credit goes to my incredible marketing team members; they made this win happen. This just fires us up to work even harder and try to keep that award in 2026!

One of the most significant moments came during the profit sharing discussion. In an industry where compensation structures are often opaque, AuthLab took a different approach. We strongly believe that when the company succeeds, everyone should share in that reward. The team heard directly about how company performance translates to individual rewards, reinforcing that when AuthLab wins, we all win. Celebrating the fruits of our hard work together over a fantastic buffet dinner was the perfect end to a serious day.
Building bonds through competition
If Day 1 was about the brain, Day 2 was about the heart (and muscle).
We kicked off the morning donning our fresh 2025 SWAG sweatshirts for the official group photo, a visual reminder of the massive, talented team it takes to keep our products running smoothly.

In that photo, there are no departments, no hierarchy, no distinction between those who’ve been here for years and those who just joined. There’s just the team. Every face in that frame represents a unique story, a specific expertise, a valuable perspective. But together, we’re something greater than the sum of our parts.

You haven’t truly collaborated until you’ve competed in a three-legged race with your lead developer! The afternoon was dedicated to “AuthLab Connect Games.” Breaking down silos between marketing, support, and engineering through healthy competition is the best way to ensure better communication back at the office.
The AuthLab Connect Games kicked off at 11:30 AM, and what followed were two sessions of pure, unfiltered team bonding through competition. The games were carefully designed activities that required strategy, communication, and trust. Teams that had been discussing KPIs the night before were now navigating obstacle courses, solving puzzles under time pressure, and discovering that their backend developer had surprising athletic abilities.
Competition brought out personalities you don’t see in daily standups. The quiet coder became a vocal team captain. The meticulous marketer took calculated risks. The senior developer who always seemed serious had everyone in stitches with their trash talk. These moments mattered because they humanized each other in ways that Discord never could.
Cultural night: celebrating our diversity
The highlight of the retreat was undoubtedly the Cultural Night. Surrounded by the aroma of BBQ chicken and parathas under the Dusai night sky, we discovered hidden talents. From music and skits to stand-up comedy, dance to dumbcharade, it’s clear our team’s creativity extends far beyond PHP and JavaScript.

As evening descended on Day 2, the energy shifted once more. At 6 PM, Cultural Night began, and the AuthLab team revealed dimensions of themselves that have nothing to do with code, campaigns, or quarterly targets.

The performances were diverse, heartfelt, and often surprising. Team members took the stage to share music and dance. What made Cultural Night special wasn’t just the talent on display: i the vulnerability. Performing in front of colleagues requires courage, and every person who stepped up was met with genuine enthusiasm and support.
Why this matters to you (our users)
We returned from Dusai Resort on January 18th, not just rested, but sharply aligned. Focusing on long-term vision rather than short-time win, we are energised to help small business owners make their lives a little more comfortable.
AuthLab Connect 2025 reminded us that we are a cohesive unit passionate about solving your problems. AuthLab is more than a workplace; it’s a vibrant community. We thrive on the rich tapestry of diverse individuals, each bringing unique perspectives, talents, and experiences. We believe a people-first culture scales better than pressure. Our true strength lies not in conformity, but in empowering every member to be their authentic self.
This is why AuthLab invests in alignment, not just output. The clarity we gained on our 2026 vision means you can expect a Fluent Forms that is faster, smarter, and more intuitive. The bonds we strengthened mean better collaboration when you need complex support.
We are energized for the year ahead, and we can’t wait to show you what we will build next.
