Fluent Forms 5.2.5: New Features, Major Improvements & Bug Fixes Based on User Feedback
When we started developing Fluent Forms a few years ago, we had to do something amazing to differentiate it from the other forms plugins in the market. How did we do it?
By listening to our users. People wanted a lightweight contact forms plugin, we made Fluent Forms the best lightweight contact forms plugin. People wanted a fast forms builder for WordPress, we made Fluent Forms the fastest forms builder for WordPress.
There are lots of WordPress forms plugins out there. So it’s a constant battle for users to find the best one. We, the Fluent Forms team, focused on “User Feedback”. You asked, and we listened. If you go through the list of Fluent Forms changelog, you’ll see most of the features and improvements were suggested by our users or Fluent Forms community.
Standing strong on this philosophy, we welcome you to the new update of Fluent Forms 5.2.5, which is focused on security, user experience, and feature improvements based on user feedback.
Let’s dive in —
Form editor undo & redo (Beta)
In the last update, we introduced Form History (Beta), which you can use to restore the previous version of a form just like version history in WordPress post editor.
In this update, we added the ability to use forms editor undo & redo using keyboard shortcuts just like you can do in WordPress post editor.
Global option to choose date time format for entries view
Fluent Forms previous version has a date time format for entries view. There was no option. In this update, we added the option to use WordPress Default Time, which will replace “X hours ago”.
Another thing, no matter what option is chosen; when you hover the time column it will be the exact time with the date.

Submission & field specific shortcode
If you want to show a specific form submission’s specific entry using a shortcode, now you can add that manually in Fluent Forms shortcode.
[ff_entry form_id='1' entry_id='{submission.id}' field='url' is_html=false]
Improved entries pagination
The default pagination of the form entries page was limited. User suggested they need to have the option to jump to a specific page without clicking multiple times.
Now, you can write the page number and jump to the page with one click.
Hook for injecting custom payment method subscription cancellation message
Previously there was no way to edit the error message of any custom payment method you added. With this newly added hook you can edit the error message.
API log for non-async integration
Previously there was only API log available for async integration in Fluent Forms. Many users wanted us to add API log for non-async integration. Now you can access it from this update.
Double confirmation on form deletion
Delete a form accidentally and bite the tongue? We know, that mistakes happen. Now, you’ll get double confirmation to type “DELETE” when you click the delete button.
Direct landing page share option
Before this update, the sharing option for the landing page was only available inside the Landing Page setting. Now you can access Share directly from all Forms pages if you have activated the form’s landing page from the individual form setting.
Plugin Security Certification (PSC) by Cleantalk
Here at Fluent Forms, we take security very seriously. Our team solved all previous security concerns within the reporting time. Anyone can report security issues here.
